Guidance and Sample Behavior Profiles

Using Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG) Sample Behavior Profiles

Countries have begun to integrate behaviors into their work to impact citizen engagement in electoral processes, conflict prevention and resolution, governance, and other key areas.

The first step in Behavior Integration is deciding which behaviors you want to Prioritize.

The second step is analyzing the priority behaviors selected for your country using country- and context-specific research, i.e. creating Behavior Profiles.

We have provided sample DRG Behavior Profiles to help you develop country-specific profiles. In addition to the ways mentioned in the overview, these sample Behavior Profiles can help you:

  1. Demonstrate the pathways to change from desired behavior to strategies, emphasizing the importance of behavior-led (not intervention-driven) programming.
  2. Hold discussions with DRG stakeholders on how an activity might be refined based on the identified pathways to change.
  3. Engage with DRG stakeholders on how activities might be aligned around behaviors and the pathways to change.

How to Use Behavior Profiles and Behavior Summaries provides more detailed guidance.

Remember: These sample Behavior Profiles provide good examples of Behavior Profiles but are not intended to take the place of in-country research or your own country-specific Behavior Profiles. To build your own Behavior Profiles, select the online of offline tool under Analyze.
